Julia Jester has settled back into life on her native Eastern Shore after completing her bachelor's and master's degrees in Sociology in Tampa, FL. She loves her dog, Rise Up iced lattes, live music, and trivia night. She dislikes ballpoint pens, blue cheese, John Mayer, and missing Oxford commas. Her favorite animal is a Greenland shark.

Laithy has had a deep love of music for as long as she can remember. When she was a little girl, she made up songs in her head using anything she read – brands or instructions on shampoo/conditioner bottles, signs, drink cartons, etc. She loves spending time with her family, even if it’s just sitting in their living room, watching television.

Joe recently graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law after a long career as a data scientist. He has lived most of his life in Maryland, with the exception of overseas stints living and working in Malawi and Morocco. He recently moved to Salisbury from Relay in southwestern Baltimore County. Joe's hobbies include genealogy, reading, birdwatching, and playing the violin, flute, and piano.

Bibi Barnes, a graduate from University of Baltimore School of Law, is a housing staff attorney at Shore Legal Access. She specializes in eviction defense, among other areas of landlord-tenant law. She lives to eat, watches too much HGTV, and loves taking walks.

Mandy Caulk

Mid-Shore Senior Family Law Case Manager

Mandy hails from Bucks County, Pennsylvania and has lived in Maryland since 1996. Mandy has two girls, one is a MSW student, and the other is a junior in college majoring in business. Mandy resides in Queen Anne’s County with her husband of 24 years, and enjoys lacrosse, boating on the Corsica and Chester rivers, birds, and her dog.

Geoffrey Cooke

Supervising Attorney

Geoffrey is relatively new to the Eastern Shore. He was raised in Baltimore County and left Maryland for several years. Geoffrey enjoys travelling and has driven cross county in a Toyota “Silver-Bullet” minivan. In his travels, he’s gone as far east as Madagascar and as far west as Australia. Currently he lives in Easton with his wife and is thinking about their next trip.

Elliett is an avid reader and sports fanatic. She was born and raised in Somerset County where she still lives with her family. Above all, she loves watching her 3 boys play sports. She loves reading books, and traveling whenever she has a chance. Cuddling with her two cats, Raven and Hollow, is always a must. She always loves a good laugh and new experiences that broaden her horizons. She is never bored and always ready to help!

Meredith (she/her) is originally from Pennsylvania, but has lived in Maryland since age 10. She moved to the Eastern Shore in 2007 so she could kayak more and never left. She lives in Easton with her husband, children, and two wily dogs. When she’s not at work, you can find her hiking, camping, paddling, or reading fiction.

Cheryl came to the Eastern Shore in 2001 from Florida. She is captivated by France, birthplace of her great-grandparents and grandfather, and hopes to someday retire to that country. She adores her family, (both furry and non), 80s hair bands, traveling, is a voracious reader and an avid video gamer. She feels best when she’s helping others.

Emily is a native of Dorchester County, and so of course knows how to pick a crab. She is a proud graduate of Salisbury University. She is passionate about Ryan Reynolds, avocado toast, and reality TV and is obsessed with cayenne pepper, ACV gummies, and sweet mint gum. When not at work, Emily can be found taking long walks on the beach or binge-watching all the seasons of Love Island Australia.

Carly Nascimbeni

Life Planning Case Manager/Outreach Coordinator

Carly was born and raised in Salisbury, Maryland, where she earned her bachelor’s degree at Salisbury University (GO GULLS!) before heading to American University for her master’s. She’s passionate about criminal justice reform and spends much of her time advocating for change. Outside of work, you’ll probably find her riding her bike, hiking, or soaking up the sun at the beach. She’s also mom to Jack—her favorite adventure buddy—and lives with two beloved dogs: Mr. Vinny, a spunky little Pomeranian, and Lucy, a gentle Great Pyrenees who takes her guard dog duties very seriously (but mostly naps).

Edith was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised in Caroline County; she prefers and admires the rural and quiet lifestyle. She can quote any scene from the show "The Office" and looks forward to the latest Marvel movies. Food is her love language and the spicier, the better! You can find Edith binge-reading a good book, spending time with her four pets, playing video games with her son, or singing along to Disney movies with her daughter.

Grants Manager

Marshall (he/him) has too many books and not enough shelves. Born and raised in Worcester County, he lived in Chicago for almost ten years, couldn't tolerate the cold, and now lives in Salisbury with his wife and three cats. He loves coffee; pizza; Brazilian food, music, and literature; international film; and figuring out ways to keep his cats from places he doesn’t want them to be. He tolerates running.

Juanita Sutton

Senior Paralegal and Lower Shore Manager

Juanita enjoys hanging out with family and friends and cooking for them. She is a self-proclaimed wannabe gardener and is pleased to see how well her herbs and perennials do without too much fuss on her part. Juanita recently took up pickleball and hopes to play more during the spring and summer without a trip to the ER! She likes traveling and appreciates the diversity and cultures of different people, not to mention the awesome food and incredible scenery that goes with that.
