Shore Legal Access is seeking dedicated and community-minded leaders to serve on our Board of Directors. The Governance Committee is launching a new round of recruitment and invites nominations of individuals who can broaden the Board’s expertise, perspectives, and geographic representation.
We are looking for nominees who bring fresh ideas, diverse lived and professional experiences, and a strong commitment to access to justice. Helpful qualifications and characteristics include:
- Familiarity with the work of Shore Legal Access
- Experience serving diverse communities
- Experience working with individuals and families of modest financial means
- Experience serving people with disabilities
- Experience serving members of the LGBTQ+ community
- Strategic or business planning expertise
- Fundraising and community engagement experience
- Financial management knowledge
- Information technology systems experience
- Media and public relations experience
- Board development and training experience
